“A New Day” is a 25′ x 15′ mosaic mural created for the Eastside Food Co-Op in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was created through the COMPAS ArtsWork program, which hires youth, ages 14-21 during the summer months to apprentice with professional artists in the Twin Cities. This piece was created in 2011, Sharra’s fifth summer working with COMPAS Artswork as a Lead Mentor Artist.
