FAQs

I've never made a mosaic before, is this right for me?

Yes, the Mosaic Membership is designed to welcome all levels of experience with mosaics. We have some members who are brand new and others who are making mosaics as a full-time career! We all learn together.

What project do I start with?

Sharra has several mosaic kits available in her shop or you can purchase the basic tools, adhesives and materials to create a project on your own. These materials are also available in Sharra's shop or you can refer to her resource lists.

What if I'm not able to make the live Zoom meetings?

All the meetings are recorded and shared in the Membership after with an outline and summary of what was covered in the meeting. Live attendance is a fun way to connect with others in the membership but not required.

What is the subscription commitment?

The membership is month to month or annual. Try one month if you'd like, that's just fine!

Meet Sharra

Over 20 years ago, Sharra was called to create her first mosaic as a college art student. With just plain white wall tile, a hammer and bottle of Elmer's Glue, her coffee table transformed into the catalyst of a lifelong passion. Sharra Frank is now an award winning mosaic artist and instructor recognized for her innovative and contemporary approach to mosaic art with an unique blend of beading, picassiette and mixed media used to create colorful, textural and intricately whimsical mosaic designs.

Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sharra has been featured in Where Women Create Magazine, In Her Studio Magazine, Etsy, Mosaics Arts International, Mpls.St.Paul Mag, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Twin Cities Live and more. Sharra has led and created several large scale public art installations in the Twin Cities area from hospitals, parks and grocery co-ops.

Sharra has also taught mosaic art to new students and professional artists over the course of the last twenty years in both online and offline course formats through the Society of American Mosaic Artists, Institute of Mosaic Art, Santa Barbara Mosaic School and more. With over 1000's of online students since 2011, Sharra is well practiced at communicating the fine details of mosaic techniques virtually.

Sharra has a B.A. in Studio Arts from the University of Minnesota.
