What’s Inside My Mosaic Kits?

Starting mosaics can feel a little intimidating at first. Questions like:
“What kind of mosaic adhesive do I need?”
“Which grout should I buy?”
“Do I need special tools?”
“Where do I even begin?”

That’s exactly why I created my mosaic kits.

Each kit is thoughtfully designed to remove the guesswork so you can focus on what matters most: the joy of creating.

1) The Frame

All of my kits include a custom-designed, highest-quality, shaped frame that gives you a beautiful foundation for your artwork. The project design is already planned, allowing you to dive right into the creative process.  The frames are designed and made locally here in Minneapolis, MN and made of baltic birch wood.

2) The Mosaic Supplies

One of the things that makes mosaics so magical is the variety of materials you can work with.

Depending on the project, my kits may include a variety of carefully selected:

– Vintage china pieces
– Glass mosaic tiles
– Ceramic tiles
– Beads and specialty embellishments
– Decorative accents and trims

Every material is thoughtfully curated for color, texture, and beauty so your finished piece feels special from the very beginning.  This is one of my favorite things to do in custom curation!

I want your mosaic experience to be simple and enjoyable, so my kits include many of the same materials I use in my own studio. Having the right supplies on hand means you can spend less time shopping and more time creating.

All kits include:

– Adhesive materials
– Grout
– Sealant
– Sponges and cleanup supplies
– Protective gloves
– Hanging hardware or finishing materials

3) Step-by-Step Video Instruction

One of the most valuable parts of every kit is the instruction.

Each kit includes detailed video guidance that walks you through the project from start to finish. I’ll guide you through each step, sharing techniques, tips, and encouragement along the way. You never have to figure it out alone.

Recommended Tools for Beginners

If you’re brand new to mosaics, I recommend adding a few essential tools:

Glass wheel cutters for trimming china and glass pieces
Precision tweezers for placing smaller mosaic pieces

These simple tools can make the process easier, more comfortable, and even more enjoyable.

Bringing it All Together

Whether you’re creating your very first mosaic or have been making mosaics for years, my kits are designed to inspire confidence and creativity.

They provide the materials, instruction, and guidance you need while still leaving plenty of room for your own artistic expression.

Because mosaics aren’t just about making beautiful art. They’re about slowing down, playing with color and texture, and discovering the joy of creating something with your own hands.  Ready to create with me?
